A probation violation check led to a felony intent to distribute marijuana charge for a 20-year-old Youmans Street man Thursday, according to a Columbus Police report.

When officers arrived at the 3700 block house, they found Watkins Brown's bedroom door locked. Once the door was unlocked, police detained Brown and his girlfriend to conduct a search of the room. They found 33.1 grams of marijuana as well as some digital scales, according to the report.

Brown was transported to Muscogee County Jail.
