Kinetic collecting old TIC items, holding food drive to benefit needy

April 18, 2014

Kinetic Credit Union in Columbus will be conducting a charity drive through April 30 to benefit local shelters and less fortunate countries.

Kinetic employees and the public are asked to bring in any TIC clothing or giveaway items, such as T-shirts, caps, mugs or other items they may have received through the years. Those items, along with various TIC materials that Kinetic still has on hand, will be packed and delivered to less fortunate or developing countries, the credit union said.

Kinetic also will be collecting non-perishable food items. All food donations will be delivered to local food banks and shelters.

All donations may be dropped off at any Kinetic full service branch through April 30.

"This is a wonderful way to make good use of our TIC materials and paraphernalia," said Janet Davis, Kinetic president and chief executive officer. "Having members donate their TIC attire along with canned food items will help us make a positive impact on our local community and those less fortunate elsewhere."

Kinetic Credit Union, formerly TIC Federal Credit Union, was renamed on March 10.
