T.J. Yeldon named MVP of Alabama A-Day game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- There's something about A-Day that seems to bring out the best in T.J. Yeldon. Alabama's junior running back racked up his third straight Dixie Howell Memorial MVP award on Saturday. He was the leading rusher with 95 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for an average of 8.6 yards per touch.

Through three spring games, Yeldon has 412 yards of total offense and three touchdowns. Defensive ends D.J. Pettway and Jonathan Allen won the Dwight Stephenson Lineman award. Pettway intercepted a pass and returned it for a 29-yard touchdown. Allen had six tackles, two sacks and four tackles for loss.
