Wass, Overstreet, Vincent key in Alabama's 7-6 win over Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Wade Wass homered and Kyle Overstreet and Chance Vincent each drove in two runs to help Alabama rally Saturday for a 7-6 win over Tennessee.

Tennessee jumped out to a 6-1 lead, but Wass hit a homer that got the Tide rolling in the sixth inning. The Tide scored two runs in the sixth and three in the seventh to tie the game.

In the top of the ninth, Vincent was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to drive in the go-ahead run. Russell County's Jay Shaw (2-3) gave up one hit over 2 1-3 innings of relief to get the win. Ray Castillo (Russell County) pitched 2 2-3 innings in relief earlier. He gave up two runs on three hits.

Andy Cox (3-2) gave up four runs on five hits in 3 2-3 innings of relief and took the loss.

Tennessee (24-13, 6-11 SEC) hosts Alabama (28-11, 12-5) in the final game today at 2 p.m.
