AUBURN, Ala. — At halftime of Saturday's A-Day game, Gus Malzahn personally handed last year's SEC Championship rings to the team's departed seniors and others headed to the NFL draft during an on-field ceremony.

For a coach who rarely slows down, it was an opportunity Malzahn cherished.

"That was a real neat deal," he said. "As a coach, I think about the last game a lot, but it’s good from time to time when you’re able to reflect back and think about all the special things that happened during the year. You look around and see the players and you see the smiles on their faces — those are great memories. That was a real special moment."
