Update: The party was attended by approximately 1,500 people and was popularly referred to as the "BigAssCookOut," according to officials.

Two teenagers are in the hospital after being shot at an "unauthorized" DeKalb County party this weekend attended by "about 1,000 people," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Chardonae Meeks and Maya Scott, both 19, were grazed in the head Sunday and have been taken to Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police told the AJC that, "according to witnesses, a male with the victims got into an argument with a group of people. The male and two victims got into their vehicle to leave when a suspect produced a handgun and fired multiple times into the vehicle, striking the two victims."

Attendance at Wade Walker Park reportedly swelled into the hundreds. (WSB-TV first reported the four-digit figure.) The party was promoted and heavily documented on Instagram and elsewhere, which police plan to sort through, in addition to witness interviews, in their investigation.
