Spencer Draws named Collegiate Baseball national player of the week


Columbus High's Spencer Draws rounds third after hitting a home run in game 1 of the doubleheader against Cartersville in the GHSA Class AAA baseball state baseball quarterfinals.


Former Columbus High standout Spencer Draws was named the Collegiate Baseball national player of the week on Monday.

Draws batted .667 (10-for-15) with five doubles, five RBIs and seven runs scored in leading Air Force to a 4-0 record last week.

He reached base 12-of-17 times (.706 on base percentage).

He was also named the Mountain West Conference player of the week.
