AUBURN, Ala. Auburn continued a sizzling streak in its 2015 recruiting efforts on Tuesday, picking up its fourth commitment in three days.
D'Anfernee McGriff, a four-star athlete from Leon High School in Tallahassee, Fla., chose Auburn over hometown school Florida State. McGriff becomes the 10th prospect committed for the Tigers' 2015 class.
The rising senior has played quarterback at Leon and was named the Charlie Ward offensive player of the year last season, which goes to the best player in Tallahassee. He's not expected to play quarterback at Auburn, however, as the Tigers recruited him as a receiver.
After McGriff's commit, Auburn's moved up to No. 5 in 247Sports' rankings. Scout has Auburn's 2015 class at No. 6 in its rankings and Rivals pegged it at No. 13.
McGriff's decision came after the Tigers received pledges from three-star offensive tackle Bradley Sharp and four-star safety Ben Edwards on Saturday and Marquel Harrell, a three-star offensive guard, committed on Sunday.
