Blake Logan leads Tigers to 6-1 win over South Alabama


AUBURN, Ala. -- Blake Logan went 2-for-2 with two RBIs to help lead the Auburn Tigers to a 6-1 win over South Alabama Tuesday.

The Jaguars took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Tigers' pitching staff did not give up another run after that.

Starting pitcher Daniel Kroger went 4 1-3 innings and gave up one run on four hits with five strikeouts.

Jay Wade picked up the win. He pitched 2 2-3 innings and gave up no runs and no hits with two strikeouts.

Auburn remained scoreless until the fifth inning when Logan, Blake Austin and Keegan Thompson each hit an RBI double. Damek Tomscha hit an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth followed by a RBI single by Logan.

Jordan Ebert scored on a wild pitch in the seventh to round out the scoring.

Auburn (24-19, 7-11 SEC) travel to play a three-game series against Arkansas beginning Friday at 7:35 p.m.
