Damon Haecker leads Auburn to 2-1 win over Arkansas


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Auburn Tigers defeated Arkansas 2-1 Friday night thanks to a two-run sixth inning.

The Razorbacks took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth, but Damon Haecker tied the game with an RBI single to right field that brought in Jordan Ebert.

Haecker later scored on a fielding error that would provide the winning run.

Dillon Ortman pitched 8 1-3 innings and gave up one run on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

Auburn (24-19, 8-11 SEC) will play at Arkansas Saturday at 5 p.m. in the second game of a three-game road series.
