Early voting begins today in Columbus

April 27, 2014

Columbus residents who are ready to cast their ballots in the May 20 local elections and state party primaries can get that out of the way starting today, when three polling places open for business.

Those who don't vote by May 16 will just have to wait until Election Day, because that Friday is when early, in-person voting ends.

Here are Muscogee County's early voting polls and hours:

• The Columbus Baptist Association, 3679 Steam Mill Road, open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• The City Services Center, off Macon Road at 311 Citizens Way, in the community room, open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on two Saturdays, May 3 and May 10.

• Peachtree Mall, 3131 Manchester Expressway, at the rear in the old Piccadilly Restaurant, open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
