Man pistol whipped during Rosemont Drive robbery

Police are searching for a suspected robber after he struck a 47-year-old man several times with a pistol on Rosemont Drive, according to a Columbus Police report.

The victim told police the man took $200 and began pistol whipping him outside a 4100 block residence at about 10 p.m. He had multiple lacerations on his face and head, according to the report.

Officers say the suspect is a 6-foot black man in dark clothing who weighs about 190 pounds. Anyone with more information should contact Investigative Services at (706) 653-3400.
