Savannah Christian sweeps Brookstone in Class A Private tournament

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- After losing the first game 9-0, Brookstone took an early lead in Game 2 only to see Savannah Christian rally late for the sweep of the series in the first round of the Class A Private state tournament.

In Game 1, Savannah Christian's Ben Haeussier spread six hits over seven innings to shut out the Cougars 9-0.

Jarrod Little took the loss for Brookstone. Drew Webb and James Sherrer each had two hits for the Cougars in the loss.

In Game 2, Brookstone's Andrew Hamric homered and Keith Pridgen and Hunter Green drove in runs. Savannah Christian got key hits when they needed them. Bryce Evans went 3-for-4 and drove in a run. Savannah Christian rallied for three runs in the sixth inning and two more in the seventh to put the game away 6-3.Friday at Savannah, Ga.
