Jackson Sellers has no-hitter as Calvary sweeps past Covington

Jackson Sellers threw a no-hitter and Calvary Christian pounded out 29 hits and 25 runs to sweep Covington in the first round of the GICAA Division 2AA state tournament at Golden Park.

Sellers (4-2) struck out five in Game 1. Trent Burns went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs.

In Game 2, Andrew Walsh (5-0) spread four hits over five innings to pick up the win.

Sellers added to his big day. He went 4-for-5 and drove in four runs in the win. Both games were shortened by the mercy rule.

Calvary advances to play Praise Academy Friday at Golden Park in the state semifinals. The time has not been determined.Friday at Golden Park
