Stadium receives artificial turf

chwilliams@ledger-enquirer.comMay 2, 2014

After more than a month of getting Garrett-Harrison Stadium ready for an artificial surface, the new turf began going in Thursday. Pittsburgh-based ProGrass LLC has spent the last two days rolling out the new surface in the $544,000 project. City Manager Wallace Hunter said the turf installation should be completed, weather permitting, in a week. He said the stadium will be ready by May 23, when Central High School uses it for graduation.
