Man robbed of $560 on Woodruff Farm Road

A Columbus man was robbed of $560 cash and armed robbers attempted to take his vehicle during a holdup Friday on Woodruff Farm Road. The victim wasn’t injured in the 12:20 p.m. robbery near Fort Middle School. Police said two men with black masks confronted the man and one pointed a pistol at him. The robbers took $560 in cash before attempting to hijack his vehicle. Police didn’t state what thwarted the theft.

Both robbers were described as black and in their 20s. One had short hair and wore a black Jordan hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white shoes and was armed with a silver pistol. The second suspect also wore a black mask over his face, wore a black shirt and blue jeans.
