5 men robbed and car hijacked at Cooper Cove Apartments

Five young men were robbed at gunpoint and a car was hijacked from the parking lot of Cooper Cove Apartments Friday on Milgen Road, Columbus police said.

No one was injured in the 9:50 p.m. robbery at 4770 Milgen Road.

In a report, police said pistols were pointed at the victims who lost iphones, cash, watches and other items in the robbery before robbers took a 1999 Lexus GS 400 valued at $5,500. The car was later recovered in Phenix City about 3 a.m. The robbery and theft of the vehicle remain under investigation. No description of suspects were given by police.
