Hannan wins first place in Ciphering at Math Tournament

Hannan Elementary Magnet Academy won first place in Ciphering (a group problem solving activity) for the 5th grade at the recently held Phenix City Math Tournament. The 2014 tournament had the largest number of teams competing in tournament history. Hannan competed against teams from across the Valley, including schools from Alabama, Georgia and Fort Benning. Winning mathletes are: from left, William Slater, Kyra Cooper, Isaiah Jacobs, Donovan Wright, Steven Slater, Coach Christopher Reed, Connor Grantham and Michael Carrion.
