Ole Miss beats Georgia in 10 innings


OXFORD, Miss. — Auston Bousfield hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift Ole Miss to a 2-1 victory over Georgia on Sunday at Swayze Field.

Bousfield also drove in Ole Miss' other run in the fifth inning, which tied the game at 1.

Daniel Nichols drove in Georgia's run in the top of the first with a sacrifice fly.

Nelson Ward went 3-for-4 for the Dogs (25-25-1, 10-16-1).

Jeremy Massie picked up the win for Ole Miss (37-15, 17-10). He pitched the final three innings in relief. Jared Cheek took the loss.

The win gave Ole Miss the series win 2-1.

Georgia will play Georgia Tech at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Turner Field.
