Former Russell County star Anfernee Grier drives in two runs in Auburn's 6-5 loss to Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Ka'ai Tom singled in Javon Shelby with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday to give Kentucky a 6-5 win over Auburn.

Former Russell County star Anfernee Grier drove in two runs with a single in the second inning to put Auburn up 4-0. The Tigers (27-25, 10-17) added a run in the fourth inning and went up 5-0 before Kentucky (30-20, 12-15) started a comeback.

The Wildcats scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and then Austin Cousino homered in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game.

Ryan Tella (0-1) gave up two runs on three hits over the last 3 2-3 innings of relief and took the loss.

Spencer Jack (3-1) work two scoreless innings in relief for the win.
