Police: Man assaults woman after breaking into Pam Court apartment

Investigators are searching for a 27-year-old Cataula man accused of beating a woman after forcing his way into her Pam Court apartment, according to a Columbus police report.

Police say Shamarick Huff forced his way through the 26-year-old victim's door at about 2:45 a.m. Once inside, the victim said Huff began assaulting her, leaving her with two head injuries. She also complained of soreness in her back and arms, according to the report.

No further details about the incident were disclosed.

Huff was described as a 5-foot-9 black man, weighing about 200 pounds. He is wanted for aggravated assault, first degree burglary and criminal trespass.
