Phenix City Police: Juvenile burglars tied to Columbus church break-ins

Phenix City Police say two juvenile suspects charged with burgling a Summerville Road church may be connected to similar break-ins in Columbus, according to a release.

Officers discovered a broken window at First Baptist Church around 12:30 a.m., Tuesday. While clearing the scene, officers noticed two juveniles attempting to escape.

The juveniles were apprehended and charged with first degree burglaries.

Police did not release any details about Columbus burglaries connected to the juveniles. No further information was available.
