CSU's Zoghlami named to PBC All-Academic team

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Columbus State men's tennis player Oussama Zoghlami has been named to the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic team.

Zoghlami is the only member of the All-PBC first team for singles that was also named to the All-Academic team. The junior is also the first Cougar to be named to the 12-person PBC All-Academic team since 2011 when Flip Cojbasic and Christophe Noblet both received the academic honor.

Zoghlami helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 for just the third time in program history. The Cougars ended the season with a 20-6 record.

Zoghlami quickly ascended to the top of the Cougar lineup after going 10-1 at the second position.

At first singles, Zoghlami went 9-4 with two wins over top-25 players.

Zoghlami was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Southeast Region Player to Watch.
