Police have charged a 36-year-old woman with stabbing her boyfriend to death during an argument after the 30-year-old victim was rushed from 2541 Rice Street address Sunday.

Anthony Tirrell Murray was pronounced dead on arrival when he was taken to Midtown Medical Center at about 11 p.m., Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said. The body had bite marks to the left side of the chest, in addition to a four-inch deep stab wound, Bryan said.

Murray had begun fighting with his girlfriend, Priscilla Y. Morgan, at a party before the pair returned to their Rice Street home, Columbus Police Lt. John McMichael said late Monday.

The argument escalated, ending with Murray's stabbing, McMichael said.

Officials booked Morgan into the Muscogee County Jail on charges of murder (family violence) and possession of knife during the commission of a crime around 6:42 a.m. Morgan also goes by Priscilla E. Harris, according to jail personnel.

Morgan is scheduled to appear in Recorder's Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
