Report: Kidnapping suspect picks woman's pocket for money, candle

Police are searching for a kidnapping pickpocket after a 52-year-old woman was robbed of a candle and $5.00 in North Lumpkin Apartments, according to a Columbus police report.

The victim told police she was outside in a yard when the suspect approached her at 11:30 p.m. He is accused of taking a 2-inch burgandy and tan candle from her pocket, as well as $5.

Officers say the suspect is described as a 5-foot-7 black man with rotten teeth. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black and red bandana, a baggie white T-shirt, baggie black shorts and black and red shoes.
