Man charged with intent to distribute meth near Whitesville Road

A 29-year-old man was charged with intent to distribute meth Sunday after he was stopped near the intersection of Whitesville Road and Veterans Parkway, according to a Columbus police report.

Vernon Huckleba was arrested after police stopped him around 9:30 p.m. Officers discovered 5.6 grams of meth during a search, according to the report. That contraband was valued at $560.

Huckleba was transported to the Muscogee County Jail.
