Marathon Drive man robbed outside apartment

A 26-year-old man told police a robbery suspect pressed a gun barrel against his face outside his Marathon Drive apartment Friday, according to a Columbus police report.

The victim told police he returned to his apartment around 1:37 p.m. When he started to get out of his vehicle, a black man in his 30s ran up to him and pointed a gun in his face. He stole the victim's wallet, which contained $250, as well as his ID and credit cards, according to the report.

The suspect was described as wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans and a black mask during the robbery. Anyone with more information should contact Investigative Services at (706) 653-3400.
