CBS picks up Georgia-South Carolina game

DESTIN, Fla. - Georgia was a fixture on CBS last season, and this season it's setting up that way as well.

CBS announced Tuesday that it has picked up two Georgia games for this season: The visit to South Carolina on Sept. 13, and the Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville on Nov. 1. Both games are slated for 3:30 p.m. kickoffs.

The latter announcement was more of a formality, as CBS usually broadcasts the game. The network taking the Georgia-South Carolina game was the bigger news; it will be CBS' first football game this season.

The game time has not been announced for Georgia's opener against Clemson on Aug. 30. It is expected to be on ABC or one of the ESPN channels.

Last year Georgia ended up being on CBS six times.
