Jade Sasser, Auburn Montgomery to play for national title on Thursday

May 28, 2014

Former Northside High standout Jade Sasser and her Auburn Montgomery teammates will play for the NAIA softball national championship Thursday at South Commons.

AUM is undefeated, winning its first three games in the double-elimination tournament.

AUM will face either William Carey or Reinhardt. Those teams played a late game on Wednesday night.

AUM sent Reinhardt into the losers bracket with a win on Tuesday. It sent William Carey to the losers bracket with a win on Monday.

William Carey had won its next two, however, including a 7-0 victory over Oklahoma City earlier on Wednesday.

The Reinhardt-William Carey winner must beat AUM twice. The first game is scheduled for 5 p.m.
