NeighborWorks, House of Heroes join others to renovate Bibb City home

May 31, 2014

A group of volunteers from NeighborWorks Columbus, House of Heroes, Jordan High School and Columbus Cottage committee members joined forces Saturday, clearing out the Bibby City home of Edna Reeves to prepare it for a major re-build as part of the Columbus Cottage program. The home, at 3 Linden Point, will be the seventh Columbus Cottage and the first joint project between NeighborWorks Columbus and House of Heroes. Joshua Vaughn of NeighborWorks Columbus said demolition work will begin Monday, and they have a three month time frame for the project. The homeowner is scheduled to be introduced to the community Friday morning at an event that brings together the former Columbus Cottage recipients.
