Will Solomon and Kennesaw State outlast Georgia Southern


TALAHASSEE, Fla. — Kennesaw State scored eight runs in the top of the 11th inning and beat Georgia Southern 13-5 in the NCAA Talahassee Regional late Saturday night.

The victory moves the Owls (39-22) one win away from advancing to next week's super regional.

Will Solomon (Columbus High) pitched two innings in relief for the Owls. He gave up one hit and one walk.

Kennesaw State will plat at 5 p.m. Sunday against the winner of the Georgia Southern-Alabama elimination game. That game is scheduled for noon.
