LaGrange cab driver pushes would-be robber's gun away

A LaGrange cab driver thwarted an armed suspect's attempts to rob him Sunday when he pushed the gun away, causing the suspect flee, according to a release.

The A Cab employee told LaGrange police he arrived to Snelson Street to pick up a customer when a man jumped into his vehicle, drew a firearm and demanded money. The suspect fled when the victim shoved the gun away from him.

Police describe the suspect as a 6-foot, 160-pound black man between 20 and 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie.
