Paris, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Su-Wei Hsieh of Taiwan and Peng Shuai of China captured the women's doubles title at the French Open on Sunday with a straight-set victory over the Italian duo of Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci.
Hsieh and Peng earned a 6-4, 6-1 triumph in the final for their second Grand Slam doubles crown. They also teamed to win the Wimbledon championship last summer.
The matchup of the top women's teams featured numerous breaks of serve and the Italians grabbed a 3-1 edge early before Hsieh and Peng rattled off five of the next six games, breaking Errani's serve twice.
Peng was broken to start the second set, but the Italians could not win another game. Vinci was broken twice and Errani once more during the 30-minute second set.
Errani and Vinci won the 2012 French doubles crown and finished as the runners-up last year. They won the Australian Open title earlier this year for their fourth Grand Slam championship.
