Police investigating Sunday shooting at Carousel Lounge

Columbus police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at the Carousel Lounge on Victory Drive.

According to the police report, officers were dispatched to the lounge after the report of a shooting and when they arrived, the victim, a 21-year-old Phenix City man, a soldier, was found in the rear parking lot. He was suffering from what appeared to officers to be a gunshot wound to the back.

The crime occurred Sunday around 12:20 a.m.

The weapon used was a pistol.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Midtown Medical Center.

He was listed in stable condition.
