A 31-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of pointing a shotgun at a 44-year-old man and threatening to kill him, according to a Columbus police report.

Officers charged Adrian Roberts with aggravated assault after the victim reported Roberts threatened him in a 24th Street apartment complex parking lot around 5:20 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday was the second death threat issued by Roberts in less than a year. According to a police report, officers issued first degree burglary, simple battery and terroristic threatswarrants for Roberts in June 2013 after he was accused of breaking into a 12th Avenue home and threatening to kill two women.

A 20-year-old victim told police Roberts threw her onto the bed after breaking into her 1700 block home on June 21, 2013. He then repeatedly threatened to kill everyone in the house and claimed he had a gun, though no weapon was visible. Roberts refused to take his hands out of his pocket during the encounter.

Roberts was transported to the Muscogee County Jail Wednesday. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Recorder's Court Friday.
