Sorority awards nearly $13,000 in scholarships

The Rho Rho Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., awarded nearly $13,000 in college scholarships to high school students. Scholarship monies were raised through the chapter's recent 16th annual Pink Ice Educational Ball held in April. Scholarship awards ranged from $500 to $1,500 for Tri-City area high school students. An award reception was held May 13 at Spencer High School.
