A 31-year-old man threatened to kill an officer Sunday when the officer attempted to transport him to the Muscogee County Jail, according to a Columbus Police report.

The officer said Rohena Corujo threatened to kill the officer and his family while being transported around 3:30 a.m., according to the report.

When they arrived, the officer attempted multiple times to get Corujo to walk to the intake door. He refused, leading the officer to radio for backup and ask Corujo to return to the car for his safety. Once inside, Corujo is accused of kicking at the window with both feet and hitting his head on the window.

Police did not specify the events leading to Corujo's arrest. No injuries were reported.

Corujo was charged with criminal attempt at interference with government property. He was taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
