Police apprehend suspected robber armed with BB pistol

Police apprehended a 22-year-old robbery suspect Thursday after the man threatened US Title Pawn employees with a BB pistol, according to a Columbus Police Department news release.

Shawn Thomas Sconiers walked into the 3290 Victory Drive pawn shop and demanded the business' money around 6 p.m., police said. He fled shortly after, additionally taking the clerk's credit and debit cards, according to the report.

Officers arrested Sconiers within minutes and recovered all property. He has been charged with two counts of armed robbery.

Sconiers will face his charges during a 9 a.m. preliminary hearing Saturday in Recorder's Court.
