Police: Suspect sought in Bernard Drive stabbing

Columbus Police are searching for an aggravated assault suspect who allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old Bernard Drive man this weekend, according to a report.

Officers were dispatched to Midtown Medical Center on Saturday morning in reference to an assault, where they spoke with the victim.

The victim told police he was "walking down the (300 block of Bernard Drive) and was attacked by an unknown black female" between the hours of 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:20 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report.

The victim was stabbed in his lower back, according to the report. He is in stable condition at Midtown Medical.

The suspect is described as "chubby," with half of her head shaved. The suspect and victim live in the same household, according to police.

The case remains under investigation.
