Victim identified in fatal I-I85 hit-and-run

A Lanett, Ala., man killed during a fatal hit-and-run in mid-June near the West Point exit on I-85 has been identified, according to Georgia State Patrol officials.

Daryll Love, 30, was killed on June 16 while walking on the side of the road around 2:45 a.m. Caderrickton Barnes, 46, was later named as a suspect on the charges of felony hit and run and first-degree vehicular homicide.

Troopers originally searched for a suspect potentially driving a 1997 to 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. No information about Barnes’ vehicle was available.
