The death of a 55-year-old Phenix City woman late Thursday is being investigated as a possible accidental drowning, the Russell County Coroner’s Office said Saturday.

Lisa Hall was pronounced dead at 9:03 p.m. of possible drowning in the emergency room of Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City shortly after a neighbor pulled her from the pool at her home, said Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr.

Hall’s body will be sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery, Ala., on Monday for an autopsy.

Sumbry said the death remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.
