Chitose, Japan (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryo Ishikawa shot a final-round 67 and defeated Koumei Oda in a playoff to earn a victory at the Nagashima Shigeo Invitational Sega Sammy Cup on Sunday.

Ishikawa finished the tournament at 10-under-par 274, which was good enough to force a playoff against Oda, who fired a final-round 69. The win is Ishikawa's 11th on the Japan Golf Tour.

K.T. Kwon vaulted up the leaderboard by shooting a 65 on the final day. This helped Kwon finish in a tie for third place with Kazuhiro Yamashita, who carded a 71 on Sunday. They both finished three shots back at 7-under 277.

David Oh ended alone in fifth place at 6-under after shooting a final-round 66. Shunsuke Sonoda (67) and Kodai Ichihara (68) finished tied for sixth place at 5-under 278.

Ishikawa had a strong final round, ending with six birdies on the day. He did not start out well, however. After making par at the first hole, Ishikawa dropped a shot by three-putting at the par-3 second hole at The North Country Golf Club.

He got that shot right back with a birdie at No. 3. Ishikawa then made four straight pars from four before rolling in back-to-back birdies at Nos. 8 and 9. He added another birdie at No. 13, dropped a shot with a bogey at 14, and got back on the birdie train at No. 15.

Ishikawa rounded out his final day with a big birdie at the par-5 18th hole, which would prove important as it forced a playoff with Oda.
