Columbus man reports being beaten, robbed

A 32-year-old Columbus man told Columbus police that he was beaten and robbed Saturday night.

According to the police report, the incident happened at 10:42 p.m. in the front yard of a house on 42nd Street.

The victim told officers he was pushed to the ground and kicked.

The report says he suffered swelling to his left eye.

He refused aid by EMS.

Reported taken from the man was $200 in cash.

No description of a suspect was given in the report.

The investigation continues.
