Kendall Passmore

Phenix City police arrested an 18-year-old robbery suspect Monday after he held Church's Chicken employees at gunpoint, according to a press release.

Kendall Passmore ordered employees at the 1300 block U.S. 280 business to open the safe after he entered the business around 8:35 a.m. Once he gathered the cash from the safe and the cash registers, he forced the employees into the men's bathroom and fled.

Officers apprehended Passmore after a short foot chase not far from the restaurant. Police say he was carrying a handgun, an undisclosed amount of money and the clothing worn during the robbery.

Passmore was charged with first degree robbery and taken to the Russell County Jail.
