A 19-year-old robbery victim rammed a vehicle in front of his when a robbery suspect approached his car and attempted to snatch his belongings, according to a Columbus police report.

The victim told police he was at the intersection of Fourth Street and Veterans Parkway when an unknown person approached his car with a plastic bag and asked for a ride to the nearby Circle K gas station. Police say the suspect reached inside the vehicle and tried to snatch the victim's bag after the teen told the man he could not have a ride.

The two began wrestling over the bag. At one point, the victim attempted to snatch back his possession and hit the gas, causing him to collide with a car in front of him. The suspect fled the Civic Center's baseball fields, according to the report.

The victim described the suspect as a skinny 5-foot-8 Hispanic man with medium length dark hair. The suspect, who the victim said appeared to be between 28 and 35 years old, was last seen wearing an orange and black shirt and blue jeans.
