Report: Woman attempts to rob Circle K with ice pick

Armed with an ice pick and a pair of scissors, a 45-year-old woman attempted to rob a Victory Drive Circle K Wednesday, according to a Columbus police report.

Angela Hernandez, also known by the surname Alvarado, is accused of threatening the 21-year-old store clerk at the 3200 block store around 2 a.m. No injuries were reported from the incident.

Hernandez was charged with aggravated assault, attempted robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. She was taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
