Police find copper pipes missing from Rigdon Road home

A Columbus police officer found cut electrical wires and missing copper pipes in the attic of a home on Rigdon Road.

According to the police report, the officer responded to a call about a burglary of a home for sale and noticed damage to the drywall of the ceiling where someone had stepped through it from the attic.

A kitchen window had been pried open.

The burglary is believed to have occurred between a little after midnight and 1 p.m.
