Close to 3,000 households lost electricity Wednesday afternoon in an area around the intersection of Moon Road and Milgen Road, including part of Windsor Park, according to Georgia Power’s online outage map.

Georgia Power spokesman Robert Watkins said two breakers, which each support about 1,500 households, stopped functioning around 3 p.m.

As of 5 p.m., all customers except some off Wilbur Drive had regained power. Watkins said residents still without power could expect service to be restored by 6 p.m.
