Auburn's Powers to declare for NFL draft

AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn junior defensive back Jerraud Powers will leave school a year early and enter the NFL draft.

Powers started 10 games last season and finished with 47 tackles. He also had two interceptions. For his career, he had 136 tackles and six interceptions.

“I want to thank the Auburn nation for their support during my career,” Powers said in a press release from the school. “It was a very tough decision, but I did what God wanted me to do and what was best for my family and me. I’m thankful for my time at Auburn and will have nothing but fond memories.”
