TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama and San Jose State will play against each other in football for the first time when they open the 2010 season Sept. 4 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
It will be the first game after the stadium’s two-year renovation project to the south end zone, which is expected to push the capacity over 100,000. t also will be Alabama’s first game against a team from California since playing UCLA in the 2000 and 2001 seasons.
The announcement of the San Jose State game completes the Crimson Tide’s nonconference schedule for 2010. The other nonconference opponents will be Penn State, Duke and Georgia State.
